Shakara Natural is proud to present: A Celebration of Curls 2 this coming black history month – February 22nd, 2014.
Hair is a major part of our self-respect and Identity. Everyday, I try to encourage curly girls to love what they have and make the most of it!
Meet with other local women (and men) in Toronto to celebrate curly hair! Gather to network and motivate one another in our mission for chemical-free hair.
Natural hair & green beauty experts will also be on hand to give you advice!
This event will appeal to a wide variety of local women who are determined to break the mold and show that curly girls are empowered!
Our workshop will be led by Celebrity Stylist and Natural Hair Expert Felicia Leatherwood.
Felicia has done natural styles on stars such as Jill Scott, Viola Davis, Kim Coles, Nicole Parker Arie (to name a few), and work that has appeared in People magazine, Essence, Ebony and InStyle, as well as in film and television, Felicia’s reputation is as solid as they come. And though she can weave, relax, color and cut hair with the best of them, she’s known for her expertise with natural hair and for her remarkable ability to grow hair. Felicia has been called the “Hair Whisperer” and has been known to help not only her clients but women all over the world to understand and love their natural hair no matter what state it’s currently in!
Jeré Reid of Nappturally Chic will also be joining us. Jeré is a wife and mother of two beautiful girls and a Central Florida natural hair enthusiast. She has been featured on Natural Hair Daily, Natural Hair Does Care, Team Natural, Natural Hair Mojo, Luv Your Mane, and the one and the only Curly Nikki. She will be speaking on learning to love your natural hair with the LOC method.
